Office & Hospitality Fitouts

Block1 enjoys helping architects create exciting hospitality and offices within existing buildings. We undertake floor loading checks and design for new facades, new stairwells, new services penetrations, new wall configurations. We design meeting room pods, new entries, canopies and airlocks, and external balconies and roof decks. We review the condition of existing slabs and advise on concrete floor polishing. We design how to modify existing spaces to accommodate new End-of-Trip facilities.

Block1 design and certify all manner of modifications to existing buildings and enjoy creating new offices with architects and builders. Projects include Rip Curl, Cotton On, 222 Exhibition St, 1 Nicholson St Eot & L16-L18 & Hobsons Bay Council Offices.

Our hospitality projects include Hazel on Flinders Lane, Secret Kitchen on Exhibition St & Cafe Orange on Chapel Street.

Our two largest ‘fitout’ projects have been the Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre where we designed the inclined walls, dance platforms, inlaid gym floor, curved ceiling supports and curved walls looking down to the pools. For Melbourne Airport Terminal T4, Ashley designed the hanging walls that support all the arrival/departure screens as part of his commission of providing a hundred construction engineering instructions to the builders Leighton-Broad JV as well as the TempLink walkway.
